What Kind of Law do you practice? Only estate planning, no slip-and-falls, no divorces. Our aim is to keep people out of court when there is a disability; to keep people out of court when there's a death and to reduce their tax liability. And, to protect people's estates from nursing home care.

We also do estate planning for those with special needs - cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, birth defects. A lot of people think the way to protect the child's government benefits is to disinherit them. But there are special needs trusts, so they get all their needs met without losing their benefits. People have to take the time to find out about their options.

We handle living trusts, Medicaid, and special needs and teach people about how they can help meet their needs.

What did you think you were going to be growing up? I thought I would get into nutritional sciences. I also wanted to be a child psychologist or an astronaut.

What was your first job? I worked at Jacob, a women's clothing store in Toronto and I stayed there for five years.

What was your first car? It was a ‘fire engine red’, Pontiac Sunfire and it was brand new when I got it. I still miss it.

Favorites:
TV Show? Seinfeld.
Movie? “Only You” with Robert Downy Jr. and Marisa Tomei
Music? Everything and anything I can dance to. I am a huge Michael Jackson fan.
Magazines? Macleans.
Books? Khaled Hosseini is one of my favorite authors. I enjoy everything he writes.
Food? I love to prepare and eat great food. I especially enjoy seafood.
Sports? If I'm not practicing law, I'm watching sports.
Vacation Spot? Orlando, Florida.

What would you like to be doing in 10 years? I would like to be married with kids, still practicing law, and more involved in politics.

If you were independently wealthy, what would you do with your time & your money? I would travel to the poorest parts of the world and volunteer my time and money.
