About Michael Garrisi

Birthplace: I was born in Las Vegas, NV.

Residence: I currently live in Chesterfield.

Family: My family is the Garrisi family from Sicily, Italy. We originated in middle Italy in the early 1200's. Al Harris was the first Garrisi. He was Italianized in early 1200 and changed his name to Garrisi. Any person who carries the last name Garrisi is related to one another.

Education: I graduated from East Detroit High School and I am currently attending Baker College.

Occupation: I am the Medicaid and Veterans Benefits Paralegal.

What did you think you were going to be growing up? I wanted to be a politician.

What was your first job? Auto Repossession.

What was your first car? It was a 2 door 1982 Delta 88 that was copper and brown with a Ford 302 engine.

Vacation Spot? My ideal vacation is a private beach on the ocean.

What would you like to be doing in 10 years? I would like to be an attorney practicing in many different areas of law.

If you were independently wealthy, what would you do with your time & your money? I would contribute a large amount of money and time into creating community programs and activities for youths in my old neighborhood, Eastpointe, as well as in the surrounding cities. I would spend my time traveling, gaining knowledge and learning many new skills including flying a plane and baking a proper cake. I would buy the same Delta 88 that I owned and rebuild it from the frame. I would also move my current home to a large piece of land in Northeastern Michigan.
